Happy Guests Hosted
Built on Friendship, Family, and Great Fishing
Founded by veteran outdoorsman Dave Mandich, Becharof Rapids Camp was born from a simple dream: to provide an intimate, stress-free, and high-volume wild salmon destination without the rigid schedules and high-stress wading of standard commercial lodges.
"Our low-profile terrain is our secret weapon. The gravel rapids and shallow river margins of the Egegik mean any angler, from a 10-year-old child to an 80-year-old grandparent, can safely wade and hook massive fish all day long."
— Dave Mandich, FounderBy limiting our capacity to only 14 guests per week, we ensure you are never crowded on the boats or on the water. When you stay with us, you are part of the family. We share home-cooked meals, swap epic fish stories around the cozy fire pit, and tie custom sparse bucktails together in the lounge.
Why Egegik River Rapids?
The Natural Salmon Highway
Located 5 miles upstream from saltwater, our section of the Egegik River acts as a natural funnel for over 1.2 million migrating salmon annually.
Easy Gravel Wading
Unlike deep, high-walled canyon rivers, the Egegik consists of shallow rapids and flat, comfortable gravel bars that make casting stress-free.
Pure Wilderness Solitude
Because floatplanes are the only way in, you'll fish in pristine Alaskan wilderness far removed from the crowded roadside combat fishing zones.
Professional Fish Processing
We don't just guide you; we fillet, vacuum-pack, freeze, and box your limit in airline-approved shipping boxes so your catch returns home perfectly fresh.
